(Ecofin Agency) - From November 24 to 26, 2017, the Walt Disney Company had organized in Tunis, the first African edition of its festival. During three days, participants were able to discover Disney’s latest productions, including “Coco”, its latest animation movie.
“We picked Tunisia for its many movie theaters which happen to be particularly well structured. There are many more theaters here than in other cities of the Maghreb region or Africa even. Also, we are getting more interested in Tunisia, Maghreb and Africa, but Tunisia particularly because populations show a greater interest in us, they wish to get more Disney content,” says Jean-François Camilleri (photo), President of Walt Disney Company France, Benelux and French-Speaking Africa, according to HuffPost Tunisie.
Yet, Disney does not plan on opening an office in Tunisia soon. “We will keep working closely with Tunisian firms and local economic actors, however we are not yet planning to open an office here,” said Jean-François Camilleri.
