Financial institutions in the Democratic Republic of Congo are seeking to bring millions of Congolese to the financial circuit, but the challenge seems to be more difficult because of the precarious economic and financial situation.
With a total population estimated at 90 million inhabitants, the rate of banking is currently recorded only at 6% of the active population. Several factors are basically causing the low rate of banking inclusion. First, this is due to the lack of trust in financial institutions and the low incomes of the Congolese population. Second, while financial solution seems to be precarious, bank account fees and charges remain high.
However, even for those who have a bank account or a mobile money account, shopping online seems to be an unsolved problem, as most financial institutions in DRC do not offer these services to their clients. Although today, where the era of digital revolution is underway, many services of everyday life could be offered online.
The company "Flash International" is among the precursors in Congo to offer these services through its mobile application Flash POS. A real revolution in the world of digital distribution thanks to the aggregation of value-added services most used by the Congolese population.
Flash currently distributes on its android platform the following services: Vodacom, Orange, Airtel, Africell, Canal +, EasyTV, StarTimes, Flash Cash money transfer and Flash Ticket.
Flash POS is a true fintech hub: intuitive, multi-product, with dynamic and real-time reporting. It is also an electronic, reliable and secure payment wallet that offers to everyone the possibility of money transfers and online purchases from their smartphone or from one of our 3500 flash agents.
