(Ecofin Agency) - In Morocco, Circle oil an exploration and Production Company has announced that its KSR-A exploration well, in Sebou, attained a Total Depth of 1,890 metres on the 19 of September 2015.
The well which was tested with a Slick-line unit after the release of the rig, is to be tied-back to Circle oil’s 75% pipeline from Sebou to Kenitra where it will be ready for production. The concession is valid until 2024.
Primary Main Hoot goal interval of the well was perforated from 1,817.9-1,826.7 metres measured depth (MD), flowing gas at 8.0 MMstcf/d on a 24/62 inch choke.
“We are delighted with the results of the KSR-A well. The flow rates achieved during the well test are at the upper end of our range of expectations and the well will now be tied in to our existing infrastructure and put into production as soon as possible. This gas will be sold at fixed rates which are not subject to oil price fluctuations.” Mitch Flegg the Chief Executive Officer at Circle Oil Plc told Energy-pedia.
The permit is a joint venture between Circle oil Maroc Limited with 75% and ONHYM (Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines) with 25% respectively.
