Mobile operator Telma has launched its activities in Comoros last December 9. The firm which operates under the name Telco (Telecom Comores) said it has deployed 50 telecom sites across the nation. These infrastructures already provide voice and data services to 60% of the population. The firm’s telecom network operates under 4G, its CEO, Patrick Pisal-Hamida, revealed.
For Comoros’ people, Telma’s arrival means the end of issues related to the quality and cost of services provided by Comores Telecom, who for many years held the monopole in the market. Now, they can choose which operator best respond to their needs in terms of costs, innovativeness, network stability, etc.
In order to be successful in Comoros, Telma integrated in its development strategy, in addition to innovation, proximity with its customers. Moreover, it will open new shops, the Telma shops, to strengthen its commercial network which already has seven stores. Additionally, its retailers network across Grande Comore, Anjouan and Moheli, will help it rapidly sell its Karibu SIM cards and Telma top-up cards.
