Tunisia: State recovers 14,000ha of agricultural lands from “terrorists”

Saturday, 01 April 2017 16:59

(Ecofin Agency) - Tunisia’s State Secretary to Land Domains and Public Affairs, Mabrouk Korchid, announced last Thursday that the State recovered 14,000 hectares of agricultural lands which were illegally occupied by what he terms as “terrorists”.

“The recovery of these lands follows reports regarding the matter sent by governors of the concerned regions”, Korchid indicated.

Tunisia’s government currently seems to be cold and hot in regards to land management. Truly, very recently, it has decided to provide lands to those who have been occupying them for a long period of time.
