(Ecofin Agency) - Thirty (30) billion dollars. That’s how much the initiative in favor of the Adaptation of African Agriculture (AAA) plans to raise to fight global warming. Launched by Morocco, this initiative wishes to mobilize this sum during the COP22.
According to the COP22’s team of media advisers, all African nations have factored agriculture in their national efforts to fight global warming. As the phenomenon threatens Africa’s agriculture, the sector’s actors will have to develop innovative solutions to overcome it.
At the end of the event, different parties involved will draw a roadmap based on the diverse decisions taken so as to implement the AAA initiative. Main aspects which will be discussed are sustainable and resilient management of soils, improved water management in agriculture and management of climate risk.
