(Ecofin Agency) - Distribution group Leader Price should implant in Morocco at the beginning of this month. Landing in the country is part of group’s expansion strategy which plans for the opening of 50 shops across it, by 2020.

In a statement published by the French company, Nicolas Belleste, Vice-President of Leader Price, said: “We wish to receive Moroccan consumers in warm shops, with international standards, and provide an innovating range of products near them, through the provision of diversified Leader Price’s products”. To achieve its goal, the group will collaborate with LP distribution which holds Leader Price’s operating license in the kingdom. According to Telquel.ma, the group will manufacture some licensed products locally.

Founded in 1989 and transferred to the Casino group about 20 years ago, Leader Price is specialized in hard-discount.
