The Swiss group Ringier announced the launch of a digital communication agency on the African market. For a few years now, the company has been present on the continent through online platforms. In Nigeria, there is the website Pulse.ng. In Ghana, it is Tisu.com.gh and Allsports.com.gh. The online platform Rupu.co.ke is in operation in Kenya. In Tanzania, there is ZoomTanzania.com. In Senegal, Ringier has produced many classified ads websites, among which Expat-Dakar.com and MaMaison.sn.

The Swiss company has acquired experience which it intends to capitalise on through its new digital communication agency. This is an additional threshold to cross in the African market. «Through our expertise of the local and international market, Ringier Afrique has developed a sustainable reporting system, which constantly optimises the performance of our online advertising campaigns. This has given our platforms the lead in the market, and we now would like to have our clients share in this success”, explained Robin Lingg, Ringier’s head for Asia and Africa.

The Ringier agency is positioning itself as a competitor to young African start-ups which have to cope with foreign companies having more capital, points out the magazine Afrique IT News.
