The General Director, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, presented the assessment of the activities outlining a production increase.

MAP is now publishing over 530 dispatches per day, as opposed to 294 in 2011. This is a growth rate of 82%. In the same time, the audiovisual production has also increased, to reach 600 voices spots and 275 videos per month. For these, the growth is of 20%.

Moreover, the collection rate of the revenue reached 86%, against 56% in 2013. The agency works better at recovering its old debts, with a rate of collection at 86% against 76% the previous year. “Today, we recover, we collect and we sell better”, revelled the General Director who says he has confidence for the future.

The agency wants to strengthen the diversity of its contents by better balancing the information on the government activities and those on other sectors, particularly the economy, culture, sport and civil society, insisted Hachimi Idrissi.

Amongst the ongoing projects, there is the commissioning of MAP’s new international network. It also opened its West Africa Pole and redeployment its human resources to foreign desks.  The agency is getting ready to launch 7 new poles (Southern Africa, Eastern Africa, Eastern Europe, Arab World, Maghreb, Western Europe, Scandinavia and Baltic countries). Though in May 2015, MAP closed its Maghreb desk in Algeria due to “work infringements”, it explained.

The Moroccan minister of Communication, Mustapha el Khalfi, as president of the Board of MAP, expressed his satisfaction over the evolution of this public information agency.
