(Ecofin Agency) - Ivorian authorities gave Africa Radio the green light to launch its activities in the country, the government indicated in a press release.
The approval document was initialed on 12 June by Ibrahima Sy Savané, head of Côte d’Ivoire’s Audiovisual Communication High Authority (HACA) and Dominique Guihot, CEO of Africa Radio. This agreement will see Africa Radio broadcasted on 91.1 MHz band as of the end of 2018.
Africa radio is a new francophone pan-African radio project that arose from the transformation of Africa n°1 Paris. The project aims to cover the main capitals of French-speaking Africa in the coming years.
“We achieved a milestone with this approval from HACA and we are grateful for the great work accomplished by Africa n°1 Paris. This new frequency reflects our ambition to become a continental media for the whole Africa in the years to come,” Dominique Guihot said at the end of the signing.
