Uganda: Kwese TV starts its activities

Thursday, 19 October 2017 11:27

In Uganda, Kwese TV has launched its activities last Tuesday. The operator thus entered a market which is dominated fully by MultiChoice and its DsTV offer. A factor which seems not to worry the team of Econet Media’s subsidiary.

According to Herbert Mucunguzi who heads Kweze TV Uganda, the operator relies not only rich offer, but also on its quite flexible tariffs models. Indeed, the pay-tv provider created by Strive Masiyiwa allows to select packages for a week or even three days.

Nevertheless, to rival DsTV, which in addition to being better established in Uganda continues providing innovating offers, much effort will be needed. Meanwhile, Kwese TV continues its African expansion and should not wait much longer to cover most sub-Saharan African nations.
