Next December 9^th, the first CanalOlympia movie theater of Benin, located in Wologuèdè, Cotonou, will begin its activities. This was just revealed on the Facebook page dedicated to the project. Among movies that will be shown at the theater’s premiere, there is the blockbuster Justice League.

The commissioning of the new cinema room will take place only a few days after Lomé’s in Togo. Opened in many African nations, the rooms have been so far well attended.

The project which was initiated to spark back in Africans the taste of watching movies at movie theaters, also helped promote many African movies. Movies such as “Bienvenue au Gondwana” produced by the Niger native humorist Mamane even recorded more success in these theaters than major U.S movies.
