(Ecofin Agency) - On Friday 27, 2015, Senegal will host the very first edition of Black Friday where big sales discounts will be offered on various products.
The event is an initiative of Jumia, one of the major e-commerce dealers in Africa, and Hello Food, which is specialized in food delivery in Senegal.
Director of Jumia Senegal, Patrick Farnole, said that “the aim of the Black Friday was to offer discounts to all customers on a wide range of products”.
“We are going to offer a discount exceeding -30% on electronic products and -50% on fashion. We provide our customers not non-customized products,” he adds.
Hello Food for its part announced that the Black Friday will also be effective in partnering restaurants. The online food delivery platform is going to offer its customers multiple discounts. Executives from Hello Food want to implant the Black Friday tradition by offering flash sales which include discounts on some meals during specific hours of the day. Hello Food insures rapid delivery and food quality.
Black Friday is a tradition in USA and Canada. On that day which follows Thanksgiving, there are loads of discounts and promotions. It is also the kick-start for end-of-year purchases.
