Mali: TNTSAT Africa says it is the only company selected to broadcast DTT signals

Wednesday, 31 January 2018 08:07

In Mali, while many media had discussed uncertainty about the firm selected to broadcast DTT signals in the country, TNTSAT Africa contacted Ecofin Agency to clarify the matter. The company sent us a press release concerning the authorization received from High Authority for Communication (HAC), Mali’s audiovisual regulator, making it the only DTT’s distributor and broadcaster in the country.

According to the document, HAC had accredited TNTSAT Africa to broadcast DTT signal, since October 24, 2017. In this context, the company has trained and equipped 3,000 young Malians on DTT’s implementation, in partnership with SES (European Satellite Company) and its Elevate program, still according to the document.

Until proved otherwise, TNTSAT Africa is thus the only company in charge of DTT’s signal broadcasting in Mali.
