Nigeria: Dangote Group will soon be the biggest forex earners after NNPC – Aliko

Tuesday, 02 February 2016 14:36

The President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has revealed that his company is planning to make foreign exchange incomes for the next five years when all projects are completed.

Dangote declared this at a lecture in Zaria, over the weekend. He said the group will before long be Nigeria’s biggest forex earners after the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

He said the 650, 000 bpd refinery and a 1.2 petrochemical complex which will be completed in 2018, is one of the projects that will generate no less than $6bn foreign exchange for the country.

The CEO said the group is also advancing by investing in two 554Km, 3 billion square cubic feet (scf) gas offshore pipeline projects. The projects are the first native owned undersea gas pipelines that will supply gas to industries and power plants. They will be laid from Bonny via several gas fields and would generate 12,000MW of power, Energy Mix reports.
