In Egypt, the government is presently in talks with Russia to open new international bids for the shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The aim of the negotiations was to resolve the energy situation in Egypt by 2019 and safeguard the needs of electric power generation stations in the country.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla (photo), has said that the country’s arrears to international companies has not passed $3b.
He said that the Ministry’s main objective was to solve the arrears situation and international partners will get their due payments as they know the present economic condition of the country, Egypt Oil and Gas news reports.
