(Ecofin Agency) - Tullow Oil has revealed that its Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme (TEN) field project in Ghana, is now 90 % complete and its first oil is still on schedule for July and August 2016.
The Floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, Professor John Atta Mills, for the project was received in Ghana on March 2, 2016, confirming its willingness to drill its first oil.
According to the Managing Director of Tullow Ghana Limited, Charles Darku, the mooring operations have been concluded and the vessel has being linked to the subsea infrastructure, through risers and umbilical.
He stated that the commissioning of the system is currently in progress and Tullow estimates that the TEN average yearly productions in 2016 would be around 23,000 bopd.
“This is as a result of the mid-year start-up in the second half,” he told Sweet crude.
Darku added that the Company’s first capital for contracts to provide services like fabrication and construction, marine operations and logistics, civil engineering and construction, rose from $123.6 million in 2014 to $226 million in 2015.
