(Ecofin Agency) - Clontarf Energy and Petrel Resources have announced that a proposed work programme on the Tano acreage, offshore Ghana has been submitted to the Ghanaian authorities in Accra.
This follows the announcement by the partners on September 19, 2016, that they have been offered revised Tano Basin acreage coordinates by Ghanaian officials.
The new work programme is to form part of the current discussions concerning the terms of obtaining an exploration licence for the acreage.
Presently, there are no guarantees that the ongoing talks will produce a successful outcome but the Companies’ directors hope to provide shareholders with more updates, which include specific geological information regarding the new acreage co-ordinates which are also subject to final agreement as well as the following exploration plans, as talks progress.
Clontarf's Ghanaian subsidiary company, Pan Andean Resources (Ghana), is a private Ghanaian company held 60% by Clontarf, 30% by Petrel Resources and 10% by local Ghana interests, Energy-pedia reports.
