Sudanese Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr. Mohamed Zayid Awad (photo), declared on Thursday that the ministry is firm about its plan to exploit the gas linked with oil production in its various fields.
He declared this during a meeting with the Ambassador of India to Sudan Amrit Lugun.
The minister pointed out that operating of Al-Foula Electricity Station could boost the production of electricity and meet the growing demand for the use of gas in the country. He however urge his Indian counterpart to invest in this area as it will require a great investment partnership.
As a matter of fact, towards increasing production, Dr. Zayid reiterated investment opportunities in the industry, noting that the country’s doors are open to India and it will be granted more investment opportunities. He however praised India’s partnership in Sudan through its ONGC Company.
Meanwhile, the Indian ambassador for his part, vowed to improve further in the area of cooperation between the Ministry of oil and Gas and ONGC so as to increase its investments through advanced and modern technology, Sudan News Agency reports.
