As part of efforts to strengthen a long-term partnership, Sonatrach, and Eni have signed several agreements both in the upstream and downstream sector. The agreements were signed in Rome between by Sonatrach’s chief executive officer, Amine Mazouzi and Eni’s Claudio Descalzi, Algeria Press Service reports.
According to the Algeria's national hydrocarbon company, the agreements would strengthen the long-term relationship between the two companies in upstream and in downstream activities like marketing of natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG), exploration of other fields of activities both in Algeria and abroad, including the development of renewable energies, refining, petrochemicals and research and development.
Amine Mazouzi added that for Sonatrach, the agreements re-confirmed its enthusiasm to strengthen existing partnership with Eni to back the company’s development strategy.
