In order to promote the development of its economy and to meet the growth of electricity demand, the State of Mali, on June, 18^th, 2015, signed a 30-year concession agreement with the company «KENIE ENERGIE RENOUVELABLE», subsidiary of Eranove Group. Under the agreement, this company will finance, develop, build and operate the Kenié hydro-electric plant. This signing followed an international call for tenders, which resulted in the selection of the Eranove Group as a strategic partner.

The company « KENIE ENERGIE RENOUVELABLE » is a subsidiary of Eranove Group, a leading player in public service management, power generation and drinking water production in West Africa. « KENIE ENERGIE RENOUVELABLE» shareholders also include IFC InfraVentures. IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector in developing countries.

As such, the company « KENIE ENERGIE RENOUVELABLE », is calling for applications for an EPC contract (Engineering Procurement Construction) for the hydroelectric project of Kenié.

The Kenié hydro-electric dam project, located 35 km east of Bamako in Mali, consists in a power plant of an installed capacity of 42 MW with a 1.1 km long weir on the River Niger; a 2 km long headrace canal; a 3 km long tailrace channel, an energy evacuation system and other related works.
