Congo-Brazzaville: Electric vehicles exhibited by Bolloré and state of Qatar

Thursday, 10 September 2015 09:40

In the framework of the African games which have been taking place in Brazzaville since September 4, 2015, the Bolloré group and the state of Qatar are exhibiting electric vehicles in the city’s streets.

It is an operation which integrates a bigger one – the Bluecongo – whose goal is to promote electric transport infrastructures as well as an energy system that correspond best to the needs for a sustainable development. “With our partners from Qatar, we have decided to show that we could install in Congo, an energy-production system which could provide these games, not only with significant technologies but also with a clean energy”, explained Vincent Bolloré.

Thus, during the event, 50 cars and electric buses will be made available to the sport and official delegations to use throughout the competition. With Lithium-Metal-Polymer battery (LMP), a technology developed by Bolloré, the vehicles have an exceptional autonomy allowing them to go up to 120 km and 250 km for the buses and cars respectively

With these prototypes, it is the viability of the solar technology which is developed by Blue Solutions, itself that is demonstrated.
