Friday, 12 January 2018 17:41

Côte d’Ivoire will proceed with its approach to improve its energy production capacity and related facilities throughout 2018. This is the main point of a statement recently made by the minister of oil, energy and renewable energy’s development.

Regarding the improvement of facilities, the minister revealed that capacities of the Azito and Ciprel gas-fired power plants will be increased. According to Pole Afrique, the country’s first three solar plants will be built, generating overall 131MW of electricity.

Ivorian energy authorities also plan to restore and construct about 2,500 km of power lines, establish 30 high voltage transformation stations and electrify 500 localities across the country.
