Monday, 15 August 2016 16:06

The Ghanaian energy market is presently eyed by various Chinese power developers.

Among these Chinese firms is the solar panels manufacturers Halo International which plans to establish in the West African nation, a plant to produce its panels, this September. The plant which will have a production capacity of 20 MW per year will be located in Tema, 38km from Accra, the capital.

We can share the technology and low-cost productions. Our responsibility now is to import good technology for renewable energy production for use in Ghana,” said Halo’s Managing Director, Richard Jiang.

Another Chinese firm that shares the same interest in the Ghanaian market is Kante-Solar which after Ghana, intends to expand to the whole continent. “We are in Ghana to search the African market. Our aim is to light up Africa,” said Louis Lu, Manager with Kante-Solar.
