Most of the events parallel to the COP 21 Paris talks are to be cancelled. This is what was announced by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, sustained by other political personalities.
“A series of manifestations is not going to take place. The event will be strictly reduced to the talks. Nothing should be made to endanger in any way, be it through crowd gathering, people manifesting in Paris. If we are to organize this world-class event on climate, security should focus on the essential only,” François Fillon, former French prime minister told RTL.
The former minister also relays the strong position of all heads of state to hold the event. He further added that the rendez-vous could be a message from the whole planet to fight radicalism and fanaticism.
These measures result from the recent terrorist attacks led on Paris, which is to host the COP 21, who made 129 dead and 352 injured, according to provisional estimations.
