Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MASEN) will launch in this month a call to tenders regarding the implementation of Noor photovoltaic project, L’Economiste reports.
In fact, it has already pre-selected 20 consortia which are to submit their offers for construction of the plants. The pre-selected groups were picked out of a pool of 37 candidates from 20 different countries.
With a capacity of 170 MW, the photovoltaic plants will be built in Ouarzazate, Laayoune and Boujdour.
Morocco, one of the four most ecological countries worldwide, plans by 2050 for 52% of its energy to be generated from renewable energy sources.
