Algerian firm Amimer Energie has signed with Chadian firm 3A Energie a $116 million contract for the construction, in Chad, of a 30 MW solar-hybrid power plant.
The two firms also plan to establish a mixt company which was subject to another agreement, this one exceeding $5 million. The third entity will insure interconnection and electric network’s development in five Chadian towns.
These agreements are part of a group of twenty amounting to about $145.5 million and signed at the Africa-Algeria meetings organized in the framework of the 5th Dajazair Export fair held during 49th edition of the Algiers International Fair.
“Algeria’s goal in Africa is not only to find end-users for its products but also to develop stong partnerships in terms of productive investment,” said Algeria’s Minister of Trade, Bakhti Belaib.
