(Ecofin Agency) - Petroceltic International PLC, having in its portfolio oil and gas assets in North Africa, launched a call for tenders on 19 August for the supply of engineering, supply and construction services in connection with its Ain Tsila gas and condensate development project in Algeria.
The notice was sent to the shortlist of 4 competitors being Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co, the GS Engineering Corporation et Dodsal Engineering & Construction PTE Ltd consortium, the JGC Corporation and JGC Algeria S.p.A consortium, and the Tecnidas Reunidas SA and Bonatti S.p.A consortium.
For the Isarene grouping, made up of Petroceltic, Sonatrach and Enel, this is about sourcing EPC contractors with experience in Algeria and who are able to deliver the central gas processing unit and the related works scheduled in the development of the Ain Tsila project.
The process which has started should reach a conclusion at the end of the year 2015 while the first export of gas from the project is scheduled for 2018.
The development plan approved for Ain Tsila plans for a production of crude reserves of 2.1 trillion cubic feet of gas, 67 million barrels of condensate and 108 million barrels of liquid petroleum gas extracted on the basis of an average annual volume, from humid gas, at the flat rate of 335 million standard cubic feet per day.
Petroceltic International PLC listed in London holds 38.25% in the Isarene production sharing agreement, against 43.375% for national company Sonatrach and 18.375% for Enel.
