(Ecofin Agency) - The British oil and gas operator Bowleven PLC announced, on 19 August 2015, the launch of its drilling operations on the Moambe well in the Bomono permit, located onshore in the Douala basin, in Cameroon.
This well, we learn, is located just over two kilometers East from the first well, Zingana, on which Bowleven recently discovered a hydrocarbon interval.
On this subject, the British company announces that operations on the first well have been suspended as scheduled, not only to allow the drilling of Moambe, but also to wait for the results of the different tests on the elements uncovered in Zingana.
Moambe and Zingana are the two wells part of this 2015 drilling program on the Bomono permit, which Bowleven wholly owns. This operation licence, which will expires on 2 December 2015, represents two blocks covering a total surface of 2,328 km2.
