(Ecofin Agency) - SABER-ABREC (Société Africaine des Biocarburants et des Energies Renouvelables- African Biofuel & Renewable Energy Company) abd UNIAFRICA (Union for the development of relations between Italy and Africa) have signed a co-operation protocol to promote the establishment of energy projects, both public and private, in sub-Saharan Africa.
The agreement, signed by the CEO of SABER-ABREC Mr. Thierno Bocar Tall and the president of UNIAFRICA Mr. Anco Marzio Lenardon, provides for the identification of industrial and financial partners for the establishment of renewable energies and energy efficiency development projects in the ECOWAS-CEMAC as well as the creation of partnerships between the Italian and African economic players.
ABREC is an important partner for UNIAFRICA which has been promoting, for many years, the social and economic development in sub-Saharan African countries. Thanks to its associates network, UNIAFRICA facilitates the transfer of technology and high quality Italian know-how and is able to provide, with the support of ETC SpA, financial and technical assistance for the realisation of development projects.
