Côte d’Ivoire: A solar housing in the works in Agboville

Thursday, 16 July 2015 21:16

bg-Solar&Finance, Ivorian company headquartered in Grand Bassam, is planning the construction of 1500 duplex villas equipped for solar energy in Agboville, about 75 kilometres from Abidjan: “this project will be one of the most modern solar cities, if not the only one of its kind” promised the promoter on its Facebook page.

The construction work on the Maurice Dande Housing project of Agboville, divided in 3 neighbourhoods, should start this summer. This project “will appreciate in value, between 15 and 20% of current prices, as it will be located 35min from Plateau, the city centre of Abidjan. So be smart and buy your positive energy duplex villa now”, the excited entrepreneur says.

Every villa is expected to produce 12,000 kwh of energy per year, which would guarantee, according to the developer, energy savings of a good FCFA 1million per year, maybe even a small supplementary income since the excess energy could be sold to the network.
