Wednesday, 22 July 2015 09:07

The National Company of Electrical Industries, (ENIE) will soon commission a solar panels and cells manufacturing plant. This was announced by Djamel Bekkara, CEO of ENIE to APS.

The plant which will be located in Sidi Bel Abbès, required an investment of over US$ 20 million. The operation will employ about one hundred people and will produce about 25 MW of solar panels and cells per year. This capacity could be increased depending on the demand.

The manufactured equipment will be used for households as well as for public or industrial use. They will be sold at an affordable price, according to Mr Bekkara. Their initial local rate of integration at 10% is forecast to reach 100% with the support of national industrial operators.
