Tanzania: TPDC plans to inaugurate Airborne Gravity Gradiometry Survey

In Tanzania, TPDC (Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation) has announced plans to launch an Airborne Gravity Gradiometry Survey (AGGS) this week for oil and gas deposits.

According to the Managing Director of TPDC, James Mataragio, the survey will be carried out in Arusha, Simiyu and Singida.

The Phase 2 of the AGGS analysis which includes the usage of a special aircraft, will be mapped above the Eyasi Wembere and Mandawa blocks.

Other regions in the country which will undergo survey, includes Tabora, Shinyanga and Lindi. They will also be mapped in the analysis, Petroleum Africa reports.
