Bowleven Plc. in its ongoing extended well testing update at Bomono, revealed that the Moambe well has reached a maximum stabilised flow rate of 7.3 Mmscfd through a 48/64 choke, with a flowing well head pressure of 664 Pounds per square inch gauge (PSIG) with no signs of exhaustion during the preliminary test period.
Due to this, the well which has been moved into the proposed extended test period is aimed at verifying the sustainable deliverability of a planned gas-to-power development scheme.
The company’s first indications were that the Moambe well under this kind of development would be capable of delivering approximately 4 to 5 Mmscfd. but as the testing continues at the well, the company continues to carry on with plans to begin extended well testing at the Zingana well.
"We are pleased with the positive initial flow test results on Moambe which give us increased confidence in the commercial viability of future development plans at Bomono. We look forward to the Zingana test augmenting the results at Moambe and to progressing gas sales negotiations", Kevin Hart, Chief Executive of Bowleven Plc. said.
However, more update will be announced by the company as the programme progresses, Energy-pedia reports.
