AziNam has announced the conclusion of a 3D seismic survey on PEL 34 (the Guy Block), offshore Namibia.
The Survey which was performed by PGS Geophysical in the Walvis Basin covered an area of about 870 km² and took more than three weeks to be completed.
“Completion of the 3D survey, announced today, is another step forward for the Company and its partners. The Survey is one of four surveys we have acquired within the last 12 months and remains in line with our strategy towards establishing AziNam as a leading Namibia-focused exploration company”, David Sturt AziNam’s Managing Director said.
He added that analysis of the survey will be provided with the PGS GeoStreamer system, which will enable the company to pinpoint and prove its block targets as well as advance in its exploration programme for 2016.
AziNam presently has interests in 6 licences, offshore Namibia. The company is the operator of the Guy Block with 40% alongside Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas and Namcor with 50% and 10% interests respectively, Energy-pedia reports.
