Tullow Ghana and Kosmos, has announced that they have submitted a Plan of Development (PoD) for the Greater Jubilee Full Field to the government of Ghana ahead of the agreed time.

According to the Head of Communications at the Ministry, Edward Abambire Bawa in a statement, the PoD was received by Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister of Petroleum on behalf of the government.

The statement stated that the Full field which is an incorporation of the neighboring Mahogany and Teak finds in the West Cape Three Points Block is a collective effort between Tullow Ghana and Kosmos and backed by GNPC.

Under the incorporation all wells are to be produced via the existing Jubilee FPSO vessel with the extension of the current sub-sea architecture to house the extra wells needed for economic exploitation of the finds.

The Minister of Petroleum had had said that a combined Front End Engineering Design (FEED) was being performed to find out if the facility needed incorporation. He noted that the two companies had until the end of 2015 to present the Greater Jubilee Full Field Development Plan.

The field is estimated to produce approximately 60 million BO and 100 Bcf of Gas. First oil and gas is anticipated in 2018 and has a field life of 20 years, Business Day Ghana reports.
