“Africa is a big continent. It needs a lot of support in terms of development and infrasctures. There is a place for everyone there,” said India’s Minister of Foreign Affairs
It’s in the same spirit that India’s Prime Minister will start on Thursday, a tour in Africa which includes Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya and which should lead to the implementation of various significant projects.
With a 7% growth rate in 2015, India is getting closer to top leading economies. The country must at all cost, secure its commodities supplies and bolster its international partnerships.
To expand its footprint in Africa, the nation can rely on its vast and well integrated diaspora which counts 1.3 million people. An advantage which it has over China and which it well plans to use.
