The facility (100MW) will work with heavy fuel. The project also includes the construction of a 150 kV substation and a 30 kV power line.

According to the financing terms agreed by both parties, a total of €148 million (more than CFA97 billion) will be injected into the project as export credit. €5 million will be provided in the form of installment sale and the balance disbursed as a finance lease.

Currently, the installed generating capacity is 500 MW in Mali and about 30% of the country is electrified.
