Rebranding Africa Forum 2016 : Burkina Faso seeking investors for PNDES

Wednesday, 12 October 2016 21:59

Guest of honor of the third edition of the Rebranding Africa Forum (RAF) 2016 in Brussels (Belgium) from October 13 to 15, 2016, Burkina Faso will use the opportunity to find investors for its economic and social development plan (PNDES 2016-2020), Apanews said.

At the event which is held on the theme “Responding to Africa’s industrialization challenge” will be present Burkina’s president Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, ministers of economy and finance, mining as well as the chief executive of the Investment Promotion Agency (API-BF).

The PNDES has been adopted this year by the government of Burkina Faso to push economic growth to about 8.5% and create 50,000 jobs yearly over the next five years, the source said.

Institutionalized in 2014, the RAF gives “Africa the opportunity to be under all eyes in Brussels, Europe’s capital and headquarters of European institutions. It is a brainstorming meeting which Africa needs to renew itself and establish partnerships necessary for development,” said at the time its initiator the Cameroonian journalist Thierry Hot.

It gathers economic and political actors, experts and experienced consultants, as well as European and African business owners.
