The American restaurant chain Pizza Hut announced on December 16, 2018, the launch of three restaurants in Lagos, Nigeria, in partnership with local group Marathon Restaurants Africa.
"We are thrilled to bring Pizza Hut to Nigeria as we continue our African expansion. This is our 14th country launch in sub-Saharan Africa in the past four years", said Ewan Davenport, general manager of Pizza Hut Africa, during the inauguration of the first restaurant of the chain in Lagos."We are fast becoming Africa’s Pizza of Choice", he added.
A subsidiary of world giant Yum Brands, Pizza Hut recently announced the launch of 30 additional restaurants in the coming months in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt. This will increase the number of its restaurants in Africa to 230.
The Dallas based restaurant chain is specialized in pizza but, it also offers salads, desserts and pasta. It has more than 17,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries in the world.
