Disruptech, an Egyptian fund launched in April 2020 by Mohamed Okasha (former MD of Fary) and his partners, announced it has realized its first investments in Egypt. The $25 million fund invested in the capital of fintech Khazna and the trade platform Brimore.
Incorporated in 2019, Khazna offers various financial services including salary advances to employees. Brimore, founded in 2017, connects suppliers of basic necessities with a network of individual distributors.
Omar Saleh, Managing Director of Khazna and Mohamed Abdulaziz, co-founder of Brimore, both welcomed these investments, which they hope will add value to their businesses. Mohamed Okasha, co-founder of Disruptech also welcomed the initiative. “We are pleased to start its investments in Egypt with two start-ups that have demonstrated long-term growth potential with scalable business models. We look forward to being part of their growth path,” he said.
