Burkina Faso’s international Bank for trade and industry (BICIA-B), local subsidiary of French banking group BNP Paribas, granted up to CFA9 million ($16,807) to three of its collaborators.
Alimata Ouédraogo, Faustine Sombié and Thérèse Sawadogo received each CFA3 million for implementing projects for the benefit of disadvantaged groups in the country.
The first project rewarded, that of Alimata Ouédraogo, provides Balavé department’s health and social promotion center (Banwa province) with a tricycle ambulance.
The second project developed by Faustine Sombié concerns the construction of two dormitories inside the Rama foundation’s reception and accommodation center, located in Komsilga rural commune.
The third one helped 20 vulnerable women in Pabré commune put in place small ruminants holding activities.
Let us recall that these funds are part of the “coup de pouce” (nudge) program initiated in 2013 by the French group. Its goal is to finance projects of general interest initiated by employees involved in associations.
