S. Africa: Paper Plane Ventures ditches stake in Centbee
Monday, 24 February 2020 18:35

Venture capital firm Paper Plane Ventures sold the shares it held in bitcoin cash wallet startup Centbee to Dutch Two Hop Ventures for an undisclosed amount.

Centbee enables customers to make purchases in supermarkets and pay the bill via mobile phone using a cryptographic system (Bitcoin SV). Co-founded in 2017 by Lorien Gamaroff and Angus Brown, the company also carries out international money transfer operations.

Centbee meets Two Hop Ventures’ investment criteria. The Dutch firm exclusively targets startups that are likely to generate substantial returns over the next five to ten years and that use Blockchain technology to develop solutions and products for their customers.

With Two Hop’s support, we’ll continue building more utility into our products by leveraging the BSV blockchain and delivering world-class app functionality to our users,” said Angus Brown (pictured, right).
