Senegal’s President, Macky Sall has congratulated on Sept 15, his “brother Ali Bongo Ondimba” for being re-elected for another 7-year term at the end of Gabon, a statement from the Senegalese presidency revealed.
“On behalf of the people of Senegal and personally, I would like to congratulate you wholeheartedly and wish you success in your service to your nation and your people,” the statement said.
Senegal’s leader also congratulated Gabon’s president for successfully installing peace and initiating a dialogue for “a united and peaceful Gabon towards its development and construction”.
Let’s recall that in the Friday to Saturday night, Gabon’ constitutional court has confirmed the victory of Ali Bongo, which was contested by the opposition, and thus falling into the steps of the CENAP that also validated the win in provisional results.
