Ethiopian private equity firm Cepheus Growth Capital Partners has just acquired a minority stake in Tabor Ceramics, an Ethiopian business that manufactures ceramic products, including sanitary ware, dishes, and industrial insulation. The transaction amount is not disclosed yet.
Cepheus will also provide strategic, managerial, and operational support to the company enabling it to continue its development on the local market. According to Cepheus, Tabor Ceramics is “a promising investment opportunity,” thanks in particular to the growing demand for its products in recent years and its development prospects linked to the urbanization, infrastructure construction and power grid expansion projects being undertaken in the country.
Let’s note Cepheus Capital seeks to raise $100 million as part of a first growth fund to acquire interest in agricultural companies and agribusinesses in the country.
