Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed officialed launched the Financial Port of Tunis project which is financed by Bahraini investment bank Gulf Financial House.
“Tunisia wishes, through this project, to join the global investment chessboard,” said the Head of State cited by Web Manager Center. Two days from the Tunisie 2020 conference, which aims to re-attract FDI in Tunisia, Chahed said the launch sent a “clear message”.
To be developed over 520 ha for $3 billion, the financial port of Tunis, besides offering management and banking offshore services, will have a finance university, a commercial complex, business hotels, a 30 ha marina, an 18 whole gulf field, a clinic, individual housings, collective buildings and a 35-floor polyvalent tower.
The project, launched for the first time in 2008, was said to start repeatedly, seems to be effectively on track this time.
