The Angola-based company Biocom plans to achieve a turnover of $300 million at the end of this year, doubling that of 2017.
According to the company’s deputy director Luís Bagorro Júnior (photo), mentioned by macauhub, this target will be hit by selling 100, 000 tons of sugar, 20, 300 cubic meters of ethanol and 110-gigawatt hours of electricity.
Moreover, the official indicated that these figures reflect the company’s strong performance in a difficult economic context marked by foreign exchange shortage.
Let’s recall that last year the company produced 58, 000 tons of sugar, 13, 500 cubic meters of ethanol and 60-gigawatt hours of electricity. It operates a sugar plant in Cacuso municipality.
