 “Laham Tchad”, specialising in the development of the meat industry in Chad, and the fruit of a public-private partnership between the Republic of Chad and the pan-African developer and operator of industrial ecosystems ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP), has been declared a trading company of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

As part of the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Laham Tchad SAS has been designated as the trading company of the AfCFTA.

This recognition is another important step in the company's integration into the Chadian industry and the continental African market. It will enable Laham Chad to :

  • Participate in exchanges between the public and private sectors within the framework of the AfCFTA ;
  • Benefit from capacity-building sessions organised by ZLECAF ;
  • Participate in forums organised by ZLECAF, including the BIASHARA Africa business forum, which will next be held in Togo.

Laham Chad is a complex of several industrial zones spread across Chad, aimed at industrialising the Chadian meat industry. Laham Chad offers a fully integrated industrial ecosystem with modern infrastructure, world-class logistics and direct access to strategic markets. It is structured around three strategic hubs:

  • ZIILOG in Logon
  • ZISARH in Sarh
  • ZINDJAM in N'Djamena

Jacky Rivière, Chairman and CEO of Laham Tchad, said : “We are very proud of this designation. It illustrates our commitment to promoting the industrial and commercial development of Chad, while being part of the dynamic economic transformation of the African continent.”
