(Ecofin Agency) - In Burkina Faso, more information has been disclosed concerning the case of the two journalists who were accused and arrested for involvement in the military coup last September 16, 2015. Five charges were brought against Yoda Caroline and Ouédraogo Adama also known as Damiss by the military justice. They are held at the Army prison (MACA).

They are accused of complicity in crimes against Sate security, complicity in destruction of property, complicity in murder, complicity in assault and battery and criminal association.

This information can be found in a release published by various professional press organizations in Burkina Faso which approached the military Justice to investigate the situation of the two journalists. After meeting with Government commissioner, it emerged that the charges were serious.

However, professional organizations wish for the case to be treated in respect of the rule of Law. They reiterate their trust in the Burkina Justice.

Yoda Caroline is a video reporter and presenter at BF1 TV and Ouédraogo Adama - Damiss - is the head of politics desk at the daily “L’Observateur Paalga”.
