StratMin Global Resources PLC, a company in the graphite sector in Madagascar, is producing 900 kg of refined graphite an hour in its Loharano project, it announced on 3 August. This production rate follows the successful completion of the second stage of the optimisation of its Loharano project processing plant, the company listed in London advised.
StratMin emphasises having significantly increased the hourly rate of processing as well as the degree of graphite purity achieved under its optimisation plan which raised the degree of flake graphite to 94% purity and reaches an annual production capacity of 6000 tons of processed graphite.
The final stage of the plan will bring more flexibility into the production process and will result in production, with the same facilities, of 96% pure flake graphite, we learn.
StratMin Global Resources PLC, owns two mining licences each for 40 years for graphite in Loharano, covering an area of 12,5km2, and in Antsirabe.
